Misty was amazing at taking my posing direction and at the same time she truly owned her space in front of the camera during her boudoir shoot at my cozy Kapolei studio.
Can you tell this was her first studio photoshoot?
Misty had been wanting to do a boudoir session for years as a surprise for her husband but hadn’t ever been ‘quit ready’. I received a call one day and we talked about all the reasons that had been holding her back. Sometimes when you meet the right photographer the reasons don’t seem so big. We connected right away and she booked her shoot that day!
The thing that excited me for Misty’s shoot was creating an experience that truly celebrated her and helped her fall in love with her own body. She had some great outfit ideas, and wanted to have the full experience of a fully guided photoshoot and professional hair and makeup to help her look at feel her best. Any insecurities went completely unnoticed and she trusted me enough to share her soft and sensual side with me and the camera. It made for a fun and seamless day of creating.
We had a hard time narrowing down all the favorites, but chose a good variety of poses and outfit changes. This surprise to her husband is for their 17th wedding anniversary coming up soon. Keeping that flame alive! Thank you Misty, for allowing me to create a safe space for you and documenting such a memorable time in your life and relationship.
