Jeff P. Henderson
is an accomplished photographer based in Northern California. He specializes
in scenic, landscape, seascape, and floral photography. Jeff's interest in
photography began to develop at a young age. Inspired and mentored
by his father and grandfather, both experienced photographers,
Jeff began taking photographs as soon as he was old enough to hold a
camera. Photographers have been prevalent in Jeff’s family for
many generations, with family photo archives dating back to the late
1800’s.
Jeff has been actively involved in
photography his entire life. Starting out as a young boy, Jeff
shot primarily 35mm black and white film, which he developed and printed
using his father’s darkroom equipment. Later in high school Jeff
continued his use of black and white, utilizing the school’s dark room,
and also began to shoot and process his own 35mm color transparency
film.
A Mechanical Engineer, Jeff is intrigued by the technical aspects of
photography and photographic equipment. When digital photography
came into being, Jeff was naturally drawn to this new technology.
About 9 years ago Jeff began experimenting with digital photography.
As digital camera equipment became more advanced and affordable, Jeff
transitioned entirely from film to digital photography. Jeff
presently shoots with Canon Digital SLR’s. The transition from
chemical dark room to the ‘digital dark room’ has opened up a world of
creative possibilities not possible with conventional photographic
processes.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Jeff takes
advantage of the very diverse settings to choose from when practicing
his craft. The bay area and it’s surrounding regions present a
vast array of subject matter to chose from.
In Jeff’s pursuit of the perfect photograph, his method has always been
to capture a scene or subject that is pleasing to the eye or that
depicts a location that would be enjoyable to spend time, welcoming the
viewer to walk into the image.

Sally Landerville
first studied photography while working on her art
degree at California State University, Long Beach. She quickly decided
that this was her preferred creative outlet and began to experiment with
her first 35mm camera, a Pentax, photographing her surroundings at every
opportunity.
Having grown up
in a family of photographers where slide shows of recent travels
were a ritual at family gatherings, the camera was nothing new. Sally
got her first camera at age 7 and began to snap black and whites of
family outings and vacations, along with the rest of her family members.
However, it wasn’t until college that she began to appreciate
photography as an art form.
Despite her
fondness for photography and the arts, Sally’s entrepreneurial drive led
her career toward the business world. After completing a BA in art/design
with a minor in marketing, she went on to earn an MBA at Pepperdine
University. Though she continued to photograph her travels, continually
seeking interesting compositions to feed her growing passion for
photography, her career headed toward the corporate realm. Photography
remained a pastime activity. After college, she went on to hold a variety
of sales and marketing positions, ultimately becoming a marketing
communications executive for a national securities brokerage.
Over the years,
hundreds of photos began to accumulate and a fervent desire to share her
photographs beyond her family and friends continued to nag at her. After
almost 15 years in the corporate world, Sally became a consultant,
downsized her workload and began to focus more on her photography. The
digital camera was of significant interest to her due to its flexibility
and efficiency, and quickly became her camera of choice. Eager to begin
sharing her view of the world, she joined her brother Jeff, who has a
similar passion, and founded Captured Imagery.
Sally continues to
work part-time as a marketing communications consultant and freelance
writer. She is a member and newsletter/website editor of the American
Business Women’s Association, and a member of the Seaside Elementary PTA. She lives with her husband and two young children (who she photographs
incessantly) in southern California. |
